In the first of many presidential debates, the Republicans took center stage last night for the first time. With so many candidates, it was hard to get a lot out of it. Nevertheless, it was clear that some candidates are more prepared than others and command a presidential presence. In many ways, the debate last night was the eqivalent of 'Political American Idol.' Perhaps more interesting than the debate itself was the fact that many of the candidates - and their families - gathered up Chris Matthews' for a photo op at the end. Seriously?
